Holy grail of packaging; yum history

Through the years I have often found myself asking this question “Which packages have I installed?” which comes in handy when you want to reinstall your system from scratch, or want to remove cruft. Unfortunately there has never been a proper way to answer it. One way would be to save somewhere all the packages that came with the installation, and compare with the current ones. However you would also see the packages that where installed as dependencies, which might be a lot. But finally, I noticed a new feature (to me) of yum; history. Continue reading

Pablo Francisco Stand Up

This is one of the most funniest things I’ve ever seen.

Hey I got my liver’s pierce! All right!
Don’t touch it or I’ll crap my pants. All right!

Rappers are the funniest guys. All rappers.
When they get their rewards don’t they?
The always credit God:

Yeah I’ll like to thank Jesus Christ…
With the help of God Almighty…
For my number one single…
It’s called suck your momma…
Thank you very much. Good night. Good night.
White people down!

Scott Adams for puppetmaster

Scott Adams has a funny post in his blog about his favorite conspiracy theory: the secret society of ultra-rich capitalists.

I like it too, and I specially like his comments:

I know some of you will say that it’s obvious that corporate money influences the government. But that’s not enough to make me feel comfortable. I want to know there’s an actual meeting of the puppetmasters every Thursday at 3 pm. I want to know that when one of them suggests a new policy that the group votes by pressing buttons on their chairs and if the idea is deemed bad, the offender drops through a hole in the floor and is eaten by a golden shark. You can’t tell me that democracy produces better policies than the golden shark method.

Free TV episodes: Penn & Teller: Bullshit! (fun and enlightening)

I found this Links to free episodes of Penn & Teller: Bullshit!.

I watched a few of them and I must say I love them.

They’re simple, straight, fun, honest, and obvious.

I specially liked the one about the War on Drugs; very enlightening.

I like to respect other people’s opinions, but in this case, I will say that if somebody don’t believe what these guys are saying, that somebody is nuts.
